Full Steam Ahead To Seddon

Marlborough Flyer announces a one-off visit to the open day at the newly renovated Seddon Railway Station.

BLENHEIM – As another successful season draws to a close for the Marlborough Flyer heritage Steam Train, the team is proud to announce a one-off excursion to Seddon for the 2019 season.

The train trip to the newly owned and renovated Seddon Railway Station will take place on Sunday, 14th April 2019.

Comments Paul Jackson, Director of Pounamu Tourism Group, “We are very excited to able to announce that the Marlborough Flyer will travel from Picton to Seddon, calling in at Blenheim along the way. The extended excursion will take in breath-taking views through the Dashwood Pass and stunning Awatere Valley before crossing the historic Awatere River Bridge into Seddon. The one-off excursion for the 2019 season will celebrate and support the opening of the newly owned Seddon Railway Station, great news for the Seddon community and the entire Marlborough region”.

At Seddon, passengers can look forward to the official re-opening of Seddon Railway Station by Tupari Wines and enjoy entertainment, food and a fun family atmosphere.
